A Perry man was arrested Wednesday on a Dallas County warrant in connection with a 2021 incident in which he allegedly raped a Perry female.
Phillip Daniel Gasche, 28, of 2801 First Ave., Perry, was charged with third-degree sexual abuse.
The alleged sexual abuse occurred in August 2021 at a residence in the 500 block of Warford Street, according to court records.
“Fabric from the bed on which the sex act occurred was analyzed for DNA,” according to court records, and “the DNA profile obtained from the mattress matched the DNA profile” of Gasche.
Gasche is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $50,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 8 in Dallas County District Court.
