A Perry man suspected in a domestic disturbance stiffly resisted arrest Sunday afternoon and was eventually subjected to a jolt from a stun gun.

Dusty Shea Wolfe, 35, of 1511 Eighth St., Perry, was charged with two counts of interference with official acts, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment, harassment of a public official or employee and assault on persons in certain occupations.

The incident began about 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of Kading Road in Perry, where officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

An arriving officer allegedly “observed Wolfe push a female,” according to court records. When the officers told Wolfe that he was under arrest, Wolfe “proceeded to yell and scream” and began “communicating a threat of bodily harm” to the officers.

Wolfe allegedly “refused to comply” with officers’ directions and “continued to become more and more aggressive,” including “attempting multiple times to bite” an officer and to “strike” an officer in the “chest with his head,” according to court records.

When Wolfe allegedly “refused to comply and continued advancing” and “deliberately acted in a way that interfered with officers’ being able to complete their duties,” he was brought into compliance with a stun gun, according to court records.

Wolfe later allegedly caused damage to a Dallas County Sheriff’s office patrol vehicle that transported him to the Dallas County Jail in Adel. Wolfe damaged the vehicle “by way of kicking his feet at the window,” and he “forced officers to stop the transport two separate times due to attempting to and causing damage to a patrol car,” according to court records.

Damage to the patrol vehicle’s door, “causing it to not seal properly,” was estimated at $500.

Wolfe was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $3,900 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 26 in Dallas County District Court.

Wolfe was extradited from the Guthrie County Jail to the Sacramento County Jail in California in 2018 as a fugitive from justice, having absconded from that state while on parole following a 2011 conviction for assault with a deadly weapon.
