The Perry Ministerial Association (PMA) will host Lenten services again this year, the association annoucned Friday morning.
Lent begins Wednesday, March 6, and there will be a community Ash Wednesday service at noon at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. There will be no luncheon following this service.
The remainder of the Lenten services will be held on Tuesdays beginning at 12:05 p.m., with lunch to follow. An offering will be received as part of the worship service. This offering helps the work of the PMA’s Good Samaritan Fund, which aids individuals and families in the community in crisis situations.
“Please join us for one or all of the Tuesday Lenten services,” the PMA said. The service schedule follows.
- Tuesday, March 12 – St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
- Tuesday, March 19 – First Presbyterian Church
- Tuesday, March 26 – Mount Olivet Lutheran Church
- Tuesday, April 2 – First United Methodist Church
- Tuesday, April 9 – First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
- Friday, April 19 – St. Patrick’s Good Friday Service (no luncheon)
