Perry Police Report Aug. 29

  • A caller said his wife was missing. He said “she went to the Latino Festival yesterday,” and “he has not seen her since.” He said he found the backdoor glass broken and the door unlocked. He said CDs and a tablet were missing, along with “a bunch of medication.” He said he was “concerned for his wife’s well being.” An officer responded. The missing wife later called the offices of the Perry Police Department and told the department “she was fine and would be home tomorrow.” An officer responded and “delivered the message” to the original caller.
  • A caller reported a dog inside a vehicle. An officer responded and found a “couple were eating” at a local restaurant, and the “vehicle was running with air on.”
  • A caller said she “lost her older flip phone,” possibly at church services. She said she “turned it down and put it in her pocket, but her pocket may not have been deep enough.”
  • A caller asked whether an officer of the Perry Police Department would contact the caller’s son and have the son contact the father. An officer responded and gave delivered the message to the caller’s son.
  • A caller said he lost his billfold. The caller later called again and said he found his billfold.
  • A caller said she found “an injured cat.” Officers responded and transported the cat with “severe injuries” to the Perry Animal Holding Facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
  • A caller said her son “was playing football and hurt his back.” Officers responded, and Dallas County EMS and Perry First Responders were paged.
  • A caller said a man “deliberately overdosed on drugs and alcohol.” Officers responded, and Dallas County EMS and Perry First Responders were paged.
  • Miguel Angel Lopez-Lopez, 25, 725 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of assault with intent to inflict serious injury.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
