- Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 2800 block of First Avenue.
August 12, 2025
- A 2021 Smart Vehicles TL semi-tractor trailer, driven by Dylan James Gill of Union, Iowa, was traveling westbound on Iowa Highway 141 and approaching the intersection of Soumas Avenue when its rear wheels were struck by a 2017 Ford SUV, driven by Grace Anne Babbitts of Shohola, Pennsylvania, that was traveling northbound on Soumas Avenue and was stopped in the median/turn area of the highway and pulled out in front of the oncoming semi-tractor trailer. A 2015 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Keith Raymond Churchill of Carroll, was following the semi-tractor trailer and was damaged by debris from the collision of the semi-tractor trailer and the SUV. Damage to Gill’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Damage to Shohola’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Churchill’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000.

- Officers responded to a report of sex abuse in the 1200 block of 16th Street. The case is under investigation.
