August 19, 2019
- Officers responded to the Raccoon Valley Bank in reference to a counterfeit bill that was received in a deposit.
- Patricia Elena Arceo, 20, of 2406 Evelyn St., Perry, was arrested on charges of drivig under suspension, fourth-offence possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Officers responded to a local restaurant on a report of a hit-and-run accident involving a 2003 Mitsubishi, registered to Afrom Gerbremariam of 2902 Iowa St., Perry.
August 20, 2019
- Officers responded to the 1800 block of Fourth Street on a report of a stolen bicycle. The bicycle was later recovered in the area and returned to its owner.
- Sergio Antonio Olvera, 24, of 2021 Fourth St., Perry, was arrested on a Boone County warrant for probation revocation on charges of eluding and operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
- A 2011 Nissan Altima, registered to Rafael Avila Hernandez of Perry and driven by Alondra Avila of Perry, collided with a 2015 Ford pickup truck, registered to H and H Builders of Kingsley, Iowa, and driven by Tommy Wilkerson of Linden, near the intersection of Iowa Highway 144 and Iowa Highway 141. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hernandez’s vehicle was estimated at $9,000, and damage to H and H Builders’ vehicle was estimated at $2,000. Avila was issued a citation for failure to yield upon left turn.
- A 2009 Nissan Altima, registered to Leonela Rios Martinez of Perry and driven by Alejandro Rios of Perry, collided with a 2016 Nissan, registered to Fabiola Garcia of Hillside, Ill., and driven by Jorge De La Cruz-Alvarez, at the intersection of Seventh and Lucinda streets. No injuries were reported. Rios was issued a citation for no driver’s license, and De La Cruz-Alvarez was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.
- A 17-year-old male was arrested on a charge of assault causing injury.
August 21, 2019
- Two motorists entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said a 2018 Toyota Rav 4, registered to and driven by Mirna Lopez Gallardo of Perry, collided Aug. 20 with a 2011 Chevy Silverado, registered to and driven by Cannelo Aguilar of Perry, in the 1000 block of Dewey Avenue. No injuries were reported. Each vehicle sustained damage estimated at $2,500.
- The Perry Police Department received a report of an attempted break in in the 800 block of Fourth Street. No entry was made, and no loss was incurred.
August 22, 2019
- A 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee, registered to and driven by Veronica Archila Cacheo of Perry, collided with a 2008 Toyota van, registered to and driven by Dominique Forest of Woodward, in the 1100 block of Iowa Highway 141.
- Alexandra Jeanne Voelker, 25, of 24892 270th St., Adel, was arrested on a charge of first-offense OWI.
