  • A caller said an unknown man “knocked at the neighbor’s house two houses south of his.” An officer responded but “was not able to locate the person.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “she received a threatening text message.” An officer responded and learned from the woman that “the text messages were not threatening but had an underlining tone.”
  • A caller asked whether an officer of the Perry Police Department would “try and help find an odd smell coming from his kitchen area.” An officer responded and determined “it might be an electrical issue.” The Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged and responded.
  • A caller said “last week she received a phone call from a Washington, D.C., number,” and “the caller was wanting donations for Planned Parenthood.” The caller said “she declined to give any money.” The caller said she then received “two more calls” that “went to voicemail, where a sound was heard like air being let out of a balloon, sounding like a fart.” An officer responded.
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and reported “broken glass at the west ticket booth of the football field.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “she left her wallet in her vehicle while at work,” and it was stolen. An officer responded.
  • A caller said people were “outside fighting.” An officer responded and found people “having a verbal argument” involving “nothing physical.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
