  • A caller said “his 9-year-old brother” was “refusing to go to school. He threw his shirt off the balcony this morning.” The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer responded.
  • A 911 caller hung up. An officer “responded and discovered a verbal argument between” someone “and his brother” regarding “the Super Bowl game on Sunday.”
  • A caller “requested a welfare check done on” his child and the mother of his child. An officer responded, and the mother “confirmed that she and her son were okay.”
  • A caller from the Dallas County Hospital said the hospital was treating a man who “was bitten by a dog in his yard.” An officer responded. The bitten man said “he had gone out to start his wife’s car when he noticed a medium-sized, brown, terrier-mix-breed dog at the end of his driveway. He charged the dog to scare it away, and it ended up charging him, biting him on the left hand.” The officer “patrolled the area but was unable to find the dog.”
  • A caller said “two of the clients” were “fighting. One threw a coffee cup across the room.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “his wife had left him and taken his credit card.” He said the wife “won’t allow him to see their child.” An officer responded and “suggested he seek the assistance of an attorney.”
  • A caller reported “a man in a wheelchair riding around town.” The caller said “she believes he should have lights on his wheelchair because she doesn;t want to end up hitting him one day since it’s so dark out.”
  • A caller said “there was someone pacing back and forth outside in the parking lot for the past 30 to 40 minutes.” An officer responded, but the pacer “had already left.”
  • A caller reported a “commercial fire alarm going off” at a local long-term care facility. The caller said “he believes it’s coming from the laundry room behind the dryer.” An officer responded, and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
