  • Offices of the Perry Police Department issued 10 citations to vehicles parked in violation of the city snow ordinance.
  • A caller reported “a loud party.” Officers responded but “found no signs of a party going on.”
  • A caller from a security company reported a fire alarm in the Hotel Pattee. A second caller said “there was a fire in the kitchen of the hotel.” Officers responded, and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged.
  • A caller said his vehicle was “stuck at the bypass by the Dallas County Hospital.” An officer responded “and assisted the motorist.”
  • A caller asked “to borrow a shovel to shovel snow out from around her vehicle.” An officer “responded to assist.”
  • A caller requested a welfare check on a dog. An officer responded and determined the “dog has adequate shelter.”
  • A caller “reported at least six catalytic converters taken from” vehicles at a local dealership “sometime in the last two weeks.” An officer responded and found the “parts were cut off the bottom of the vehicles.”
  • A caller said she caught a dog running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
  • A caller said “her neighbor has a snake in her apartment.” The caller said “it’s under a blanket, and she doesn’t want to move it so it doesn’t get loose.” An officer responded and found “no snakes in the apartment.”
  • A caller said his neighbor “is playing his music so loud it’s vibrating the wall.” An officer responded.
  • A caller requested a welfare check for someone “who hasn’t been to work for two or three days or made contact with family.” An officer responded and made contact with the person, who “was okay, just sick with the flu.”
  • A caller said “his forced-air heater was stolen from his friend’s backyard.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said “one of his roomates keeps saying he’s gay, and he’s not gay.” Officers responded and made contact with the caller and the roommate and advised them that “if they couldn’t get along, they needed to stay away from each other and not speak to each other. Both agreed to this.”
  • A caller said “four juvenile males were in a silver four-door Honda with a blue hood, and one of them used a pellet gun and shot at her house.” The caller “also reported her windows were all busted out.” Officers responded and “checked the area” but “were unable to locate the vehicle.”
  • A caller said “a male had plowed her father’s driveway and had torn out the grass and ruined some of the brick.” An officer responded and inspected the damage. “It is unknown who plowed the driveway.”
  • A caller said “her side porch bagan smoking, and she put it out, but she wants to make sure everything is okay.” The “caller was advised to go outside.” Officers responded and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged.
  • Amanda An Woods of 1617 W. Fourth St., Perry, was issued a citation for third-offense dog at large.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
