  • Laurann Joyce Perry, 52, 2105 W. Third St., Perry, was arrested on charges of driving under suspension and second-offense OWI.
  • Someone entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with “a white globe that must have fallen off the lights downtown.” An officer responded and “took the globe to the Street Department.”
  • A caller requested a welfare check on a dog “that has been outside since last night.” An officer responded, “located the dog,” which “appeared healthy” and had “access to shelter,” but the officer “did not see food or water.” The officer made contact with the dog owner and “advised water should be left out as well as a heated water bowl for these freezing temperatures.”
  • A caller reported a scam phone call from someone claiming to be with the U.S. Social Security Administration. The caller said she “just wanted the incident on record.”
  • A caller “requested a welfare check on his wife.” An officer responded and made contact with the wife.
  • A caller reported hearing “a loud noise coming from the southwest side of town.” An officer responded and “didn’t hear anything.”

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
