January 30, 2018

  • A 15-year-old male was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana.
  • The Perry Police Department “received a packet of information regarding credit card fraud that was used at the Pizza Hut and belonging to someone who lives in Florida.” An investigation was started.
  • The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer was informed about a “disorderly conduct/assault case that occurred on the school bus by the high school.” The officer responded.
  • A caller said “she just got home from work, found a window open” and was “afraid someone may have broken into her house.” An officer responded and found “no signs or evidence entry had occurred” and concluded “the wind had blown it open.”
  • A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and with the aid of a Swahili interpreter said “she had a male at her apartment that she doesn’t want at her apartment.” She said “her roommates allow him in the home, but she doesn’t want that.” An officer responded and explained “that nothing could be done if her roommates allowed him in that apartment.” The woman was “given information on how to evict the roommates.”
  • A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “he is being harassed on the internet.” An officer responded.
  • A caller said her dog was lost. The caller called again and said her dog was found.

January 31, 2018

  • Sean Alan Whiteley, 42, 6813 Timmins Dr., Windsor Heights, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on a charge of fifth-degree theft.
  • Santiago de Jesus Chavez-Climaco, 42, 601 Third St., Perry, was arrested on charges of driving under suspension, no insurance and failure to use headlamps.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
