- A caller asked for “help releasing a raccoon because he was nervous about it.” An officer responded and “released the raccoon into the woods.”
- A caller said he stepped away from his yard work “for about 10 minutes, and now the weed eater and leaf blower have been stolen.” An officer responded.
- A caller said “her house was egged.” An officer responded.
- A caller said his bicycle was stolen from his garage. An officer responded.
- A caller “reported a brown chicken running loose.” An officer responded and found a resident with “a coup and chickens” that “are allowed to roam the yard during the day.” The officer told the resident “that the chickens need to be in her yard and that one was in the road.”
- A caller said “he could small marijuana in the hallway of his apartment complex.” An officer responded but could detect “no odor of marijuana.”
- A caller “reported a large amount of chrome stolen from the cab of a vehicle he is restoring.” An officer responded.
- A patrolling officer of the Perry Police Department received a driver’s license found in the street by a citizen.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and “requested an officer test the tint on his vehicle windows.” An officer responded.
- A caller said four children were “riding skateboards in the alley” and “not watching for traffic and going out into the street.” An officer responded and “spoke with three children ages 9 to 14 about safety on the roadway.”
June 9, 2017
- Marvin Sarceno-Rivas, 40, 2907 Warford St., #3, Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
- A caller said “there is a raccoon walking down the middle of 18th Street” and “cars are having to go around it.” An officer responded and made contact with “a raccoon that was sick.” The officer “disposed of the raccoon.”
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
