- A caller said “a bicycle had been stolen.” An officer responded. The “bicycle was recovered.”
- A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “she wants to get a no-contact/trespass order against” someone. The woman said she allowed the person “to route his mail to her address” and “allowed him to stay with her one night,” and “now he is claiming it is his residence” and “threatening her if she won’t let him stay over.” An officer responded.
- A caller said someone “just got out of treatment,” and the caller “requested officers watch for him” and “if located, check on his welfare.” Officers were advised.
- A caller said someone was “asking customers for money when walking into the store” and “also approaching vehicles and asking kids about their family and parents.” An officer responded but did not find the suspicious person.
- A caller said “a window was broken in his van.” An officer responded.
- A caller reported “a gas leak at the residence next door to him.” Officers responded, and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department was paged.
- Dennis Dale Stuhldryer of 2109 Warford St., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense nuisance burning.
- A caller said two dogs were running at large, and “the dogs just came into her yard and attacked her dogs.” An officer responded.
- A caller reported “cruelty to a dog at the dog park.” An officer responded.
- Lorenzo Tapia of 1923 W. Fifth St., Perry, was issued a citation for first-offense open burning.
- A caller reported a group of teens in her area, and one “had a baseball bat and was hitting rocks toward her house.” The caller “said she told the boy to stop hitting rocks, and he mouthed off to her.” An officer responded but did not find the group of teens.
- A caller said “her boyfriend deliberately slammed a door on her arm during an argument.” An officer responded, but the “boyfriend was gone upon arrival.”
May 11, 2018
- Delaney Moriah Spencer, 24, 1324 1/2 Second St., Perry, was arrested on charges of driving while barred, driving while suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Andy Alejandro Perez, 29, 1808 W. Third St., Perry, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, third-offense possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- A caller said “his neighbor” was “chasing him around with a baseball bat.” Officers responded and made contact with the caller, but the neighbor “had gone inside his house prior to the officers’ arrival.”
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
