- The owner of a dog at 2122 First Ave. was issued a citation for first-offense barking dog.
- A caller said two dogs were running at large. An officer responded.
- A caller said “that she could hear yelling between a male and a female.” Officers responded and determined the dispute “was a verbal only, and the male half was leaving for work.”
- A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “she lost her debit card.”
- A caller asked to speak with an officer about vandalism. An officer responded.
- A caller reported a motorist driving eastward in the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141. An officer responded but did not find the wrong-way driver.
- A caller said his cat was lost.
- A caller “said all he heard was just a lot of yelling” from a nearby residence. Officers responded and made contact with the loud people, who said there was “no argument,” and they had just gotten home.
- A caller from a local retail store said “someone had jumped the curb and run into the Red Box movie machine.” The caller said “there was damage to the box, but no one knew when it had happened.” An officer responded.
- A caller said someone “who resides in Perry threatened her over the phone due to some contract issues he was having with them.” The caller said the person “made inappropriate and threatening comments towards her.” An officer responded.
- A caller said two dogs were running at large. An officer responded.
- Gina Yolanda Rivera, 21, 2801 First Ave, #6, Perry, was arresed on a charge of driving under suspension.
- A caller said “her three eldest males, 11, 13 and 15, are refusing to turn down the music in their bedroom.” The caller said “it was loud enough the neighbors could hear and were screaming and yelling at her earlier.” An officer responded and “explained to the boys they needed to listen to their mom.” The juveniles “agreed to listen to her and keep the music down.”
- A caller said “he was texting random numbers and sending each other naked pictures, and he’s now getting calls saying he owes $700.” The caller said he “did not give them any personal information.” An officer responded and said “as long as he didn’t give out any information, he should not worry but if anyone comes to his door, he needs to call the police department right away.”
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
