- A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded but did not find the dog.
- A caller “wanted to know if an officer would be available to take him to the DMV in Adel to get an ID card for his job.” The caller said “he just moved to town and doesn’t know anyone here to give him a ride.” The Perry Ministerial Association was notified and responded to provide transportation for the caller.
- A caller said “she had been scammed while believing to buy two puppies.” The caller said “she put $150 down as a deposit” and “then gave another $400 in AT&T cards.” After sending the money, the caller “was not able to contact” the scammer. An officer responded and started an investigation.
- A caller requested a welfare check on her sister. An officer responded and made contact with the sister, who said “that she was okay.” The caller was informed.
- A caller reported “that a driver had hit the side of the building at Haaland Financial Services.” An officer responded.
- A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said “someone claiming to be from the electric company advised her she needed to pay ‘her bill,’ or they would turn off her power.” The woman said the person “asked for payment by Moneypak cards.” The woman said she send two payments in the amount of $988. An officer responded and started an investigation.
- A man entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a dog he caught running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
- A caller said someone “had broken into a tenant’s apartment.” An officer responded.
- A Dallas County Deputy Sheriff requested assistance in the 2500 block of Lucinda Street. An officer responded.
