The Iowa High School Athletic Director’s Association has named Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks their Outstanding School Administrator for the year.
Wicks is serving his first year as Perry superintendent but has a long history in Perry, including nearly two decades as principal at the Perry Elementary School.
Informed of the honor Monday, Wicks said his first reaction was one of surprise.
“There are a lot of deserving people out there, so it is very humbling to be chosen,” he said. “I work with a great group of administrators, faculty and coaches, which makes it great to be a Bluejay!”
