A Perry teenager was arrested Tuesday for allegedly assaulting his teenage sister.

Jean Paul Paulino Tejeda, 18, of 2907 Warford St., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault.

The incident began about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of Warford Street, where an officer of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officer made contact with Paulino Tejeda, who said that he “struck his younger sister with his hand in the head with his fist,” according to court records.

The victim told the officer that Paulino Tejeda “struck her in the right side of her head,” according to court records.

The officer observed on the victim “a red mark on her ear,” according to court records.

Paulino Tejeda was held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
