The Class 3A post season brackets were recently released, with Perry (10-8) learning they will face Gilbert (12-7) in the 6:30 p.m. game Feb. 20 in Boone. The host Toreadors (14-5) will battle Humboldt (8-11) in the 8 p.m. game in the District 3 Semifinals. The winners will meet, in Boone, at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 in the District 3 Finals.
In District 4 play, it will be Webster City (14-4) facing Ballard (6-13) at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20, with host DC-G (12-7) to square off with Greene County (14-6) at 8 p.m. The victors will meet Feb. 23 in Grimes at 7 p.m.
The champions from D3 and D4 will step onto the hardwood in Johnston Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. The winner reserves a quarterfinalist spot in the state tournament.
