Tyson Fresh Meats workers in Perry began receiving free, onsite COVID-19 vaccinations Wednesday as part of the company’s program for thousands of frontline workers at its Iowa plants.
Employees at the Perry plant got their shots “at or near” the facility, a Tyson spokesperson said. The vaccinations are continuing Thursday.
The program is being provided in conjunction with local health departments across the state of Iowa, where food processing workers are among the priority group now eligible for vaccination.
