Perry High School senior Brody Nicolaisen has begun an internship on the staff of ThePerryNews.com.

Nicolaisen is a Perry native with a passion for writing. He also runs track for PHS and takes courses at the DMACC Perry VanKirk Career Academy.

“My interests are reading and writing,” he said, “but I also enjoy a good workout, and I do like sports.”

Nicolaisen will regularly be seen covering news and sporting events for ThePerryNews.com as he works around his part-time job at the Perry Hy-Vee and his fulltime school work at PHS.

“I have decided to work for ThePerryNews.com because of my love for writing,” he said, “and I feel this is a good way to express my passion to the world. Furthermore, journalism has a good energy to it. It’s fun to meet new people and see all that the world has to offer.”
