The Perry High School Mock Trial team competed in the Iowa State Bar Association Central Region Mock Trial contest Feb. 27 at the Veterans Auditorium Center.
PHS team members were Cassidy Heck, Sandra Perez, Brooklyn Dekoter, Fatima Rodriguez, Ainsley Marburger, Trinity Summerson, Claudia Vargas, Lexie Welch, Madison Mason, Cale Cooklin, Myka Meri, Gabe Ridnour and Dalton Scott.
The Perry students, competing in trials against students from Johnston High School and Valley High School, were rated by Iowa judges, attorneys and law students on their ability accurately and credibly to portray witnesses and attorneys.
The Mock Trial team is directed by Darcy Spellman, Mark Powell, Eddie Diaz and Tom Lipovac.
