Perry High School Counselor Tami Valline has been recognized for the first-year success of the DMACC College and Career Transition Counselors (CCTC) program at area high schools.
Valline received a plaque from DMACC President Rob Denson at a recent luncheon for her work with Dr. Patricia Tice, DMACC’s CCTC guidance counselor at Perry High School. Tice was also recognized with a plaque for her work at PHS and Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School.
Last August DMACC hired seven CCTCs to represent 13 area high schools. The CCTCs have met some 4,000 times with students and their families in the past nine months and assisted with nearly 150 events across the DMACC area.
