In what was initially reported as a hit-and-run collision, a vehicle left the roadway of Iowa Highway 141 near M Avenue east of Perry about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The Dallas County EMS was treating at least one injury victim at the scene.
The sport utility vehicle appeared to leave the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141, cross the median and the eastbound lanes and come to rest in the ditch south of the state highway.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident at this hour.
The Perry First Responders and Perry Volunteer Fire Department were paged but later disregarded.
