Redfield man arrested for assault after allegedly producing knife

Dustin Michael Brown, 42, of Redfield was arrested Sunday on a charge of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.

A Redfield man was arrested Sunday night after he allegedly “produced” a knife during a domestic dispute.

Dustin Michael Brown, 42, of 28770 El Paso Ave., Redfield, was charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon.

The incident began about 5:30 p.m. Sunday at a residence in the 28700 block of El Paso Avenue, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that during the course of a domestic dispute, Brown allegedly “produced a knife,” according to court records.

The victim told the deputies that he “felt threatened” by Brown’s knife, according to court records.

Brown is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Sept. 25 in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
