Kristy K. Kibbler, 44, of Redfield was arrested Wednesday on charges of child endangerment and public intoxication.

A Redfield woman was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly getting drunk and leaving her child home alone.

Kristy K. Kibbler, 44, of 919 Taylor St., Redfield, was charged with child endangerment and public intoxication.

The incident began about 8 p.m. Wednesday at a Redfield convenience store, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a disturbance.

The deputies made contact with Kibbler, who presented with “bloodshot and watery eyes” and “an odor of an an alcoholic beverage coming from her person,” according to court records. She showed “signs of impairment” during field sobriety tests.

The deputies found a 10-year-old child alone in Kibbler’s residence and judged that Kibbler “endangered the safety of the child due to her level of intoxication and necessity for someone to care for the child at all times,” according to court records.

Kibbler is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Jan. 13 in Dallas County District Court.
