Rosa Irma Villalobos de Sandoval, 65, of Perry passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 7 at 11:30 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry, with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.
Rosa Irma Villalobos de Sandoval was born Dec. 24, 1956, in Moyuta, Guatemala, to Agaton Villalobos Guardado and Esperanza de las Mercedes Lopez.
She attended school at Escuela rural Mixta No. 2 del Parcelamiento Montufar, Moyuta, Jutiapa.
Irma was united in marriage to Carlos Sandoval in July 1975 in Chiquimulilla, Guatemala.
She was a factory worker and nanny for many years.
Irma was a member of Fuente de Vida in Perry. She liked reading her Bible, having coffee with her sisters in Christ, talking to her children and grandkids, going for walks outside, traveling and watching her TV programs.
She loved sweets, flowers, exercising and doing her physical therapy and dressing up to go to church. She enjoyed Chinese food, and her favorite restaurant was Pueblo Viejo.
In death she rejoins her daughter, Glenda Marilis Sandoval Villalobos; son, Carlos Francisco Sandoval Villalobos; father, Agaton Villalobos Guardado; mother, Esperanza de las Mercedez Lopez; granddaughter, Celeste Anahi Sandoval Ramos; and brothers, Jorge Elias Villalobos, Alfredo Villalobos and Transito Vilallobos.
Left to cherish Rosa’s memory are her husband, Carlos Sandoval; sons, Carlos Giovani Sandoval Villalobos, Melvin David Sandoval Villalobos and Francisco Javier Sandoval Villalobos; daughter, Carla Azucena Castillo; grandchildren, Natalie Azucena Castillo, Alfredo Emanuel Castillo, Irma Sarai Castillo, Carlos Giovani Gonzalez, Carlos Daniel Sandoval, Brissa Marisol Sandoval, Vanessa Jasmin Sandoval, Ronni Mateo Sandoval, Francisco Javier Sandoval, Matthew Sandoval and Melvin Arcangel Sandoval Ramos; brother, David Lopez; and sisters, Angela Villalobos, Feliciana Villalobos, Teresa Lopez and Belarmina Guardado.

Le encantaban los dulces, las flores, hacer ejercicio, hacer su fisioterapia, y vestirse para ir a la iglesia. Le gustaba la comida china y su restaurante favorito era Pueblo Viejo.
Al fallecer se reúne con su hija Glenda Marilis Sandoval Villalobos; hijo, Carlos Francisco Sandoval Villalobos; padre, Agaton Villalobos Guardado; madre, Esperanza de las Mercedez Lopez; nieta, Celeste Anahi Sandoval Ramos; y hermanos, Jorge Elias Villalobos, Alfredo Villalobos y Tránsito Vilallobos.
