The Dallas County Hospital announced Wednesday that Ruth Mash ARNP will join DCH Family Medicine Panora and begin seeing patients Monday, June 19.

Mash is originally from Perry, graduated from Perry High School and became a registered nurse in 2011, working in the Perry Clinic.

She graduated from Graceland University as an advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) in 2015 and worked in family medicine in Jefferson from 2016 to 2020 and then worked in urgent care in Carroll from 2020 until spring 2023.

Mash said she finds family medicine attractive because she desires to follow patients at different stages throughout their lifespan. She said that serving as a resource to families — as patients journey from infancy to adulthood, followed by graduations and parenthood — is an honor to her.

“Serving different generations within a family is what makes me passionate about family medicine,” Mash said. “As a child, I was a patient of the clinic and my experience there —  plus my knowledge of DCH’s reputation of providing outstanding clinical care — drew me back.”

Mash has lived near Panora since 2014. She and her husband have eight children, and her husband owns a waste management company in Dallas County. She will join Dr. Eric Ash and Amy Harland PA in serving patients at DCH Family Medicine Panora. Hours of operation will expand with Mash’s addition, with future information to come on social media sites.
