Many Perry-area school districts will dismiss classes early Wednesday in advance of the high winds that are forecast to reach 70 mph in strength.
Early outs are planned for:
- Adair Casey/Guthrie Center Community School District: Closing 2.5 hours early
- Adel-De Soto-Minburn Community School District: Closing at 1 p.m.
- Coon Rapids-Bayard Community School District: Closing at 12:45 p.m.
- Dallas Center-Grimes Community School District: Closing at 1 p.m.
- DMACC: Closing all locations at 1 p.m.
- Earlham Community School District: Closing at 1 p.m.
- Greene County Community School District: Closing 3 hours early
- Madrid Community School District: Closing at 1 p.m.
- Ogden Community School District: Closing at 1 p.m.
- Panorama Community School District: Closing at 1 p.m.
- Perry Community School District: Normal Wednesday closing. PACES to close at 3 p.m.
- St. Patrick Catholic School: Closing at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday evening activities cancelled.
- Van Meter Community School District: Closing 2 hours early
- Waukee Community School District: Closing 2 hours early
- West Central Valley Community School District: Closing at 12:30 p.m.
- Woodward-Granger Community School District: Closing at 1 p.m.
