The annual Perry Area Chamber of Commerce SPOOK-tacular went off without a hitch — but with some witches — from 4-6 p.m. Friday along Second Street in downtown Perry.
Numerous businesses, churches and civic groups staked out spots along the three-block route between Willis and Patteee, ready and eager to give out treats to costumed youngsters. The Perry Volunteer Fire Department played a role as well, distributing goodies from the back of one of their engines parked near the TownCraft building.
With various businesses and locations hosting Trick-or-Treat activities later in the afternoon or early evening — including citywide door-to-door treat-seeking — the SPOOK-tacular served as a popular first stop on a busy schedule.
Thank you for the wonderful slide show! Three of the trick or treaters pictured are my grandkids! The ones with the smiles! A great big thank you from one proud grandma!
