Julie Stewart of Waukee, Democratic candidate for the second district seat on the Dallas County Board of Supervisors, announced Wednesday she will host a Listening Post campaign event Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10-11 a.m. at the Mandarin Cafe, 1117 Second St. in Perry.
Stewart said she is looking to hear from voters on all the issues overseen by the supervisors, topics ranging from infrastructure and watersheds to the Law Enforcement Center referendum, administration buildings, human services, conservation, bike trails, economic development, county labor negotiations and others.
Stewart said she will host other Listening Post events in Waukee and Dallas Center in the lead up to the general election Tuesday, Nov. 8.
