Perry-area skywatchers will see a total lunar eclipse Sunday night, called a Super Wolf Blood Moon.

A Supermoon occurs when the moon is at its closest to earth, making it look its largest, and the January full moon is often called the Wolf Moon.

If atmospheric conditions permit visibility, the full moon will be visible to Perry-area viewers in the southeast sky about 60 degrees above the horizon. The eclipse begins at 9:34 p.m. and becomes total at 10:41 p.m. The full eclipse lasts until 11:43 p.m., with the partial eclipse receding and ending at 12:50 a.m. Monday.
