The Perry Middle School cross country teams joined the varsity squads in competing at the Greene County Invitational Thursday.

The rain stayed away late Thursday afternoon, allowing for a busy slate of practices around the Perry High School.

The Perry football team was busy going through a final walk-through on Dewey Field in preparation for Friday’s Rock Hunger Game with visiting ADM, while the practice field was busy put to use by the fifth and sixth grade football teams that represent Perry in the Central Iowa Youth Football League.

The Perry middle school gridders were busy with drills on the practice grid at the Perry Athletic Complex, while the seventh and eighth grade boys and girls cross country teams ran along area streets before finishing at The Rock on the northwest corner of the PHS parking lot.
