Thomas James Tucker, son of Ronald James Tucker and Lillian Tucker Herridge, was born Nov. 27, 1960, in Jefferson, Iowa, and died Dec. 15, 2016, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of 56.
Tom was raised in Jefferson and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1980.
After high school he started his family. He was blessed with five children, Amanda, Brandon, Natasha, Anthony and Nicole.
Tom was a good skater and could even dance on his roller skates. He had many talents, including wood working, mechanics, painter, carpentry and many more.
Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Ron Tucker.
Tom is survived by his mother, Lillian Herridge of Jefferson; children Amanda Tucker of Lamoni, Brandon Tucker of Aurora, Colo., Natasha Tucker of Ft. Lupton, Colo., Anthony Tucker of Rock Island, Ill., and Nicole Tucker of Bayard; sister, Linda Tucker Karber of Jefferson; brother, Sean (Janine Anderson) Herridge of Ft. Dodge; half-brothers, Ron (Angie) Tucker of Freemont, Iowa, and Larry Tucker of Austin, Texas; step-brother, Gordie (Janet) Herridge of Jefferson; step-sisters, Mary Herridge Johnston of Curtis, Neb., Vicky Herridge of Jefferson and Dee Ann Herridge Estrada of San Antonio, Texas; step-brother-in-law, Larry Rutherford of Pomeroy, Ill.; and step-sister, Sandy Tucker Stanbrough of Oskaloosa.
Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson was in charge of arrangements.
