A one-vehicle rollover accident on a gravel road in northeast Dallas County left three people with minor injuries in what law enforcement is investigating as a possible case of driver intoxication.
The mishap occurred about 2:45 a.m. Thursday on Bittersweet Road just south of 140th Street near Woodward.
One of the injured occupants of the vehicle was a woman 31 weeks pregnant who said “her stomach hurts,” according to radio traffic.
Law enforcement officers could be seen administering a field sobriety test to the driver at the scene of the accident.
The injured were treated at the scene by Dallas County EMS. At least one was transported to the Dallas County Hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Dallas County EMS, Woodward First Responders and Woodward Volunteer Fire Department responded to the incident.
