Boone recorded wins of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-18 to sweep host Perry in the opening Raccoon River Conference match for both teams Tuesday. The loss sends Perry to 0-8 overall while Boone improved to 4-3.
Jo Diw had six kills to pace the Perry attack, with Adriana Eastman adding five kills, Isabel Saemisch two and Maddie West one. Sidney Vancil provided 13 assists, with Diw making two blocks at the net and Adrian Thompson one.
Libero player Syd Guerra led the Jayettes with 16 digs, with Diw making eight digs, West seven, Vancil six and Eastman and Gabby West one apiece.
Diw served 10-of-11 with an ace and Eastman 8-of-10 with an ace while Maddie West was 8-8-2 and Thompson 6-7-1. Vancil finished 12-of-13 behind the line, with Guerra 7-of-8.
Perry will compete Thursday in the ADM Invitational, beginning at 4 p.m. The Jayettes will then return to Adel Sept. 6 for a RRC match.
