The National Weather Service office in Johnston canceled the tornado watch for the Perry area shortly after 4 p.m. Friday, but a wind advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. Saturday.
Westerly winds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 55 mph, are expected overnight Friday and early Saturday just prior to sunrise, the NWS said.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages might result.
