Fall is the season for harvest dinners, and the Trinity Lutheran Church of Perry hosted its annual harvest dinner Saturday evening. On the menu was chicken and noodles, green beans with bacon, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, homemade pies and a variety of ice cream from a local vendor.
A bake sale was held in conjunction with this event, and Rev. Ken Bose, pastor of the church, provided background music, singing a variety of old favorites and chatting warmly with the crowd.
Attendees appeared to leave happy with full stomachs.
The purpose of this event is to outreach to the community and offer a place where area residents can mingle, Bose said.
“We take this opportunity to remember and thank God for the blessings that he has bestowed upon us during the past year,” he said.
