A truck tipped over and spilled a large number of chairs in the front yard of Farm Credit Services of America Corp. Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred about 7:15 a.m. on Willis Avenue between Iowa Highway 141 and Theater Circle, where a 2013 Freightliner truck, registered to Peter Maina Kanyiri of 4315 Mimosa Dr.., Melissa Texas, and driven by Yabibi Mossini of 3921 Block Dr., Irving Texas, was attempting to turn onto Willis Avenue from Iowa Highway 141.
Mossini apparently lost control of the vehicle, which entered the steep west ditch of Willis Avenue, flipped onto its driver’s side and spilled much of its contents into ditch.
Mossini reportedly sustained minor injuries in the mishap. Damage to the truck and its contents, which appeared to consist of many chairs, was estimated at $3,000.
