Two-vehicle collision blocks First Avenue in Perry Saturday

A two-door passenger car sustained significant front-end damage Saturday about 9 a.m. after colliding with another vehicle near First Avenue and Pattee Street in downtown Perry.

A two-vehicle collison in the 1300 block of First Avenue in Perry briefly blocked traffic about 9 a.m. Saturday.

It appeared the passenger cars collided near the intersection of First Avenue and Pattee Street, with one vehicle coming to rest in the intersection and the other leaving the roadway and striking a tree in fron of the American Legion Hall at 1324 First Ave.

The vehicle in the roadway sustained significant front-end damage, and the car that struck the tree showed damage to the driver’s-side door.

There were no injuries reported in the incident, which is under investigation by the Perry Police Department.
