Perry-area voters will encounter another Democratic presidential hopeful when U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar visits the Hotel Pattee Sunday, Jan. 12 at 3 p.m.
Registration is recommended for attendees. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.
After taking a degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 1985, Klobuchar was a corporate lawyer before being elected Hennepin County Attorney in 1999. She was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2007.
During the Supreme Court nomination hearings for Brett Kavanaugh in 2018, Kavanaugh gave petulant responses to Klobuchar’s questions about whether he had ever experienced memory loss after consuming alcohol. Kavanaugh later apologized.
