Current PCSD Superintendent Lynn Ubben is retiring this summer after serving Perry schools since 2009.

Perry Community School District Superintendent Lynn Ubben was recently selected by the Iowa High School Athletic Directors Association as the recipient of the 2016 IHSADA Outstanding School Administrator Award.

Ubben has been with the PCSD since the 2009-2010 school year and had previously served as superintendent at Winfield-Mt. Union.

The IHSADA noted several improvements and achievements in the PCSD since Ubben’s arrival, in student activity programs as well as physical improvements in the district. It was noted that the Performing Arts Center was constructed during her ongoing tenure, that MUSCO lighting systems were installed at the Perry Athletic Complex on both the baseball and softball diamonds, and that the Perry Middle School gymnasium recently received a complete renovation.

Ubben is a member of the Iowa High School Athletic Association Representative Council for central Iowa, where she has been a vocal advocate for student activity programs.

She will receive her award during a presentation ceremony at the IHSADA State Convention March 20 at the Marriott Convention Center in Coralville.
