A heat lamp caused the fire Monday afternoon in a rural Lincoln Township, according to an investigation by the Perry Volunteer Fire Department.

There were no injuries in the fire at 19363 B Ave., about three miles east of Yale.

“It started from a heat lamp in a dog house just outside of the home,” said Perry Volunteer Fire Department First Assistant Fire Chief Brian Eiteman.

The single-family home, owned by Curtis and Mollie Clark, was built in 1898, according to Dallas County records.
