Van driver loses control, ends up in bean field east of Perry

Perry Police Sgt. Jim Archer responded to an incident about 4 p.m. Tuesday, when Moise Muramira of Urbandale left the roadway in the 22000 block of Iowa Highway 141 and entered a recently harvested bean field. There were no injuries.

Moise Muramira of Urbandale was traveling east in the 22000 block of Iowa Highway 141 about 4 p.m. Tuesday when he lost control of the van he was driving.

His vehicle crossed the median and the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141, entered the the northside ditch and entered a recently harvested bean field.

Muramira was not injured.

The mishap occurred one-quarter mile west of U.S. Highway 169. An officer of the Perry Police Department responded to the incident prior to the arrival of a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff.

Damage to Muramira’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. He was issued a citation for failure to maintain control and violation of instruction permit.
