A vandal damaged one of the reproduction gasoline pumps at the Perry Sinclair Station about 7 p.m. Saturday, and law enforcement seeks the public’s help in identifying the criminal, who could face a charge of criminal mischief.
Local hobbyist Joe Unger of Perry began restoring the old Perry Oil Co. station at 1223 Willis Ave. last summer and has made the corner an attractive venue for tourist selfies and automobile enthusiasts.
Surveillance cameras at the station caught images of what appeared to be a single male in the vicinity of the gas pumps.
“If anyone happens to recognize or sees this worthless piece of crap, please call the Perry Police Department,” said a statement Sunday on the Perry Sinclair Station Facebook page. “He decided to break the glass out of one of my gas pumps Saturday evening.”
The surveillance video, which can be seen at the Perry Sinclair Station Facebook page, has been turned over to the police department for investigation.
Anyone with information about this crime should call the Perry Police Department at 515-4655-4636.

What logo is on the back of the jacket?
It’s too bad that someone who tries to better the area with his own money gets vandalized by someone who obviously has no self-esteem or worth. I hope that the perp is caught and made to pay full restitution and made to work community hours!
