Perry High School senior Kade VanKirk is off the schnide Thursday night after a 6-4 win in consolation. The win is his first at state and comes in his eighth match on the big stage.

Perry’s Kade VanKirk lost, 6-4, in first-round state wrestling action Thursday. The Perry High School senior will wrestle in the consolation round later tonight for a chance to return Friday.
