Video: Panorama netters fall in final five matches

WOODWARD — Panorama dropped a WCC match to Des Moines Christian Thursday, then suffered an 0-4 record in tourney action Saturday to finish their regular season 5-23 overall and 1-7 in conference play.

DMC rolled to a 25-9, 26-15, 25-17 victory Thursday to cap the WCC season for both teams. Faith Powell had four kills, Morgan Johnk two and Christin Koch and Kennedy Kuta one each while Adrienne Powell provided four assists and Kuta three assists. Johnk, Koch, Faith Powell, Nicole Rolfes and Hope Wilderman recorded one block apiece.

Rolfes led the team with six digs, with the Powell sisters each tallying four digs while Johnk had three and Kuta and Wilderman one each.

Faith Powell had two aces on 6-of-6 serving, with Kuta 5-5-1 and Rolfes 6-11-1. Adrienne Powell was 6-of-6, Olivia Richey 5-of-5, Hannah Woodworth was 3-of-4 and Johnk 0-for-1.

Saturday’s visit to the Norm McCune Invite in Wooward saw the Panthers drop all four of their matches. South Hardin was a 21-16, 21-14 winner, with Class 1A No. 4 Grand View Christian a 21-9, 21-3 victor. Colfax-Mingo posted a 21-10, 21-12 win over Panorama, with the Panthers stopping East Union 21-14 in their first set before falling, 21-9, 15-6 in suffering a 2-1 loss.

Faith Powell had 12 combined kills and Johnk 10, with Brooke Halterman adding six kills, Rolfes four, Wilderman and Adrienne Powell two each and Koch and Kuta one each. Johnk had seven total blocks, WIlderman three, Koch two and Halterman one.

Adrienne Powell distributed 20 assists and Kuta nine, with Rolfes and Koch each recording one assist. Faith Powell and Rolfes had 12 digs apiece, with Johnk tallying seven digs and Halterman and Kuta five each. Richey, Woodworth and Adrienne Powell all had four blocks each and Erica Block one.

Rolfes was 19-20-4 behind the line, Faith Powell 15-16-1, Halterman 14-18-1 and Wilderman 4-5-1. Adrienne Powell awas 15-of-15, Kuta 14-of-15, Johnk 2-of-2, Block and Carson Fisher 1-of-1 each and Richey 0-for-2.

Panorama will visit South Hamilton Monday for a Class 2A Region 2 Quarterfinal at 7 p.m.
