DES MOINES — All five classes of volleyball teams learned their post season challenges Tuesday, as the IGHSAU released the full set of pairings.
Perry open play in Class 4A Region 3 October 17 with a visit to Boone. The winner advances to an October 23 semifinal at fourth-ranked DC-G. Gilbert hosts Ballard, with the winner moving on to Norwalk on the opposite side of the bracket. The Regional Final will be played October 29 at the highest remaining seed.
Woodward-Granger hosts Colfax-Mingo in a Class 2A Region 4 contest October 16. An October 22nd trip to 11th-ranked South Hamilton awaits the winner, with Belle Plaine facing East Marshall, the winner on to BCLUW, in the bottom section of the pairings.
Underwood, IKM-Manning, Ogden, Madrid, AC/GC and sixth-ranked Tri-Center occupy the upper half of the regional. The Regional Final will be played October 25 at Earlham.
Panorama will host Van Meter October 16, the winner playing host Earlham October 22. The top quarter of the Class 2A Region 3 bracket features WCV at AHSTW, with No. 8 Treynor to host the victor.
The lower half of the regional includes Missouri Valley, Logan-Magnolia, Woodbury Central, MVAO/COU, West Monona and St. Albert. The Region 3 Final will be hosted by Lewis Central October 25.
All games will begin at 7 p.m.
