The Perry Area Chamber of Commerce served a steady line of hungry citizens Tuesday during their annual Election Day Chili Feed. Held at the McCreary Community Building, the dinner offered a choice of chili or potato soup, with a variety of pies also on offer. While at 6 p.m. officials were not prepared to call a winner, unofficial exit polls confirmed a large and steady lead for chili, with apple the favorite in the pie category.
While many of us here in Perry enjoyed some good comfort food the day of the 8th, about half the nation woke up with an upset stomach the morning of the 9th. Not enough Pepto in the world to cure all of that.
