W-G girls track in action at Ballard

HUXLEY — The Woodward-Granger girls placed sixth in the Class B portion of the Bomber Relays Friday.

CMB scored 192 points to easily win the division, with Roland-Story a far distant second at 112. Carroll (96) finished third and Forest City (85) fourth, with Clarke (48), W-G (44) and Pleasantville (10) completing the field.

Kaitlyn Peters provided the highest individual finish for the Hawks by crossing second in the 1500 in 5 minutes, 40.35 seconds. Emma Drake was fourth in the 200 in 29.87 seconds, with Savannah David crossing sixth in the 400 low hurdles in 1:19.25.

Emma Buckman’s best spin of 84 feet, 9 inches placed fifth in the discus, with Buckman’s heave of 28’10-1/4 finishing sixth in the shot put.

W-G was second in the distance medley relay, third in the 4×400 and 4×800, fourth in the sprint medley and fifth in both the 4×100 and shuttle hurdle relays. The names of those running the relays were not provided.

The W-G girls will return to the track Thursday with a trip to the Ogden Relays.
