W-G seniors Soelberg, Tague named All-District

WOODWARD — The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has released their All-District volleyball teams, and two Woodward-Granger seniors have been chosen for the honor.

Ashlyn Soelberg and Anna Tague both earned Class 2A Central District honors after helping the Hawks finish 23-11 overall. The team was 9-1 in WCAC play in their first year under head coach Bailey Hunt.

Soelberg finished with 387 digs (4.45 per set) and was 261-of-269 (97 percent) serving with 29 aces. She also provided 32 assists.

Tague had 278 digs (3.09 per set) while spiking 217 kills, an average of 2.41 per set played. She finished tied for third in 2A in serving efficiency after finishing 373-of-376 behind the line with 42 aces.
